Best around the house recipe on a college budget?

I'm a Uni student on a small budget. My fav recipe of things you can find around the house: generic macaroni, cheesewhiz mixed in, shredded cheddar cheese on top with a couple squirts of franks hot sauce. yum! what your best recipe of around the house stuff? Even if it's unusual, those are usually the best ones!Best around the house recipe on a college budget?
I cook up whatever noodles I have (what was on sale), drain them, and put them back in the pan and on the stove, dump some sauce in the pan (again, what was on sale..) to warm it up and then stir in a slice (or two) american cheese...I eat this so much b/c I'm a poor college student.

I also make this weird broccoli ramen soup that I found in a recipe mag:

5 cups water

1 pkg frozen broccoli (16oz)

2pkg chicken ramen

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

3 slices american cheese cut in strips

Boil water, add broccoli, after 3 minutes break noodles and add. cook 3 minutes longer stirring.

Remove from heat and stir in seasoning packets, garlic and cheese.

I use lentils a lot and like to mix cooked lentils with a little taco seasoning for tacos, or mix lentils with sloppy joe sauce for sloppy joes.

PS: I add peas and tuna to my mac and cheese too!!Best around the house recipe on a college budget?
Homemade hamburger helper.. macaroni plus ground beef!

egg with anything (i love breakfast at all hours of the day lol)

ham/bologna/hot dog weenies/cheese

pb%26amp;j

nachos/panchos mmm tortilla chips, ground beef, refried beans, melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, etc

grilled cheese sandwich with a ham in between mmm

tuna with a little bit of mayo, corn kernels, tomato, boiled egg pieces, cut up pickle, mmm lol with crackers

also, try this hamburger - regular but add a cooked onion slice and an overeasy egg, maybe a ham slice, it's really good actually!

homemade french fries, just cut up a potato and cook in oil
Well you already have mac n chz, so try some variations on that for starters. You can add some lemon pepper seasoning and tuna one night. A can of chili another night. Sliced hot dogs (half a package) and pepper another. Half a pound ground sausage, chili powder, garlic, oregano, and diced tomatoes another night.

Another REALLY cheap meal is breakfast for dinner. Walmart sells these frozen sausage links by Banquet for $1 that have 10 links. They are really good too! Get a box of pancake mix and syrup and you're good to go. Egg sandwiches are pretty cheap too.

Another idea is to get some soft tortillas and make quesadillas. Just sprinkle some chili powder and cayenne on the cheese. Then you can add anything else you like. I threw in some stir fry left overs once, sprinkled it with fajita seasoning and they were amazing. Try adding rice, refried beans, browned sausage, or whatever you're in the mood for. Serve with salsa and sour cream. This meal is cheap because it makes sooo many so it's a great idea for company.

Have fun!
Hmmm...

I like to add a slice of american cheese to ramen.

Or a can of peas and a can of tuna to boxed mac and cheese.

Or any plain pasta with margarine and Parmesan cheese :)
A big baked potato, with butter, sour cream and whatever else I have on hand:) veggies, cheese, salsa, etc
Tomato Soup with oregano, croutons, and mozzerella cheese. Tastes like pizza!
