Best toasted cheese sandwich recipe?

I'm looking for something fancier, beyond the usual ';mild cheddar on white bread';.


Any other cheese suggestions would be appreciated. I don't know what else melts as well as cheddar or processed cheese.Best toasted cheese sandwich recipe?
OK I get this recipe from a vegetarian restaurant from Minneapolis called The Mud Pie. First you get a skillet and heat it up then you take some Cheddar or any hard cheeses like Parmesan. place cheese in pan allow to melt but making sure that the side that is down gets crispy and not burn. Take what ever veggies you like dice them and place into melted cheese flatten the veggies into the cheese.when the edges of cheese gets crispy and the bottom, get a metal spatula and flip the cheese over to the side where the veggies are to cook that side. Cook till you are ready to pull out of pan. On some wheat nutty bread spread some mayo and some bean sprouts and sliced tomato. Boy this is the first time I truly had a grilled cheese sandwich and it was the best I have ever had. you can put whatever kind of veggies you like as long as you dice them I like mushrooms, onions, broccoli, and julienned carrots.Best toasted cheese sandwich recipe?
When I make grilled cheese sandwiches, i use a combination of cheeses...cheddar,mozarella,american, and colby. I butter the bread and then add garlic powder to the butter before I grill it. My family and my teenagers friends just rave about my grilled cheese sandwiches.

Well I saw on a cooking show once where they made a 3 cheese sandwich and then dipped it in egg dip and fried the whole thing. Looked delicious although very high calorie. Don't use processed it is a sad imitation of real cheese. If you want the cheese to have a chance to melt put it on a lower temp.

4 slices square white bread


4 slices mozzarella cheese


flour


2 eggs


frying oil or olive oil

Cut the bread crosswise to form triangles, cut the mozzarella into 8 pieces roughly the shape of the bread, but a little smaller, and place a slice of mozzarella on each piece of bread. Dust with flour.





Break the eggs in a dish and whip the yolks and whites together with a pinch of salt. Pass the dusted canap茅 in the egg so that it is covered all over. Heat the frying oil in a deep pan (there must be enough oil to cover the canap茅 entirely) and lower with the bread side downwards into the oil. Do not turn.





Fry until they turn golden, remove with a skimmer and place on kitchen paper to soak up the excess fat. Serve hot.

CROQUE MONSIEUR


Serves 4





8 slices white bread, trimmed of crust


8 slices Swiss Gruy猫re cheese


8 slices ham


4 tablespoons butter


1 tablespoon mustard





Preheat oven to 350 degrees.


Arrange four of the bread slices on a baking tray. Place on each slice, trimmed to the same size as the bread, a slice of Gruy猫re cheese and a slice of baked ham. Spread ham with mustard.


Top with another slice of Gruy猫re cheese, and a slice of bread to complete the sandwiches. Melt half of the butter in a large skillet. Butter one side of the sandwiches and place them with the unbuttered side in the skillet and brown over medium heat. Turn and brown the other side.


Place the skillet in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is thoroughly melted. Trim the sandwiches if desired, cut in halves or quarters, and serve at once.
A good cheese to use is Asiago. This will melt well and is still mild enough to eat on bread.

Delicious Toasted Cheese Sandwich





2 slices bread


2 tablespoons ranch dressing


1 slice cheese


2 slices tomatoes


1/4 cup oil or butter





Heat oil.





Make sandwich with all ingredients.





Brown and enjoy.
MOZZARELLA IS LIKE THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MELTIEST AND YUMMMMIEST EVERRRRRRR. I ALWAYS USE MOZZARELLA.
