BBQ Ribs

Cut the ribs into serving sized portions, i.e. 3 or 4 ribs each.

Par-boil them in a large pot of water, that has been spiced.

I stick cloves through bay leaves into a large onion %26amp; put in the pot.

Simmer for at least 1/2 to an hour, then remove them to grill.

You can finish them on an indirect charcoal grill or in a 350F oven.

Cover with foil; the goal is to brown them without drying out.

Timing will depend on thickness %26amp; meatiness, allow an hour.

Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 15 minutes, do not burn.
We made the best dry rub ribs ever last weekend. Just take a rack of pork spareribs, rub liberally with Creole seasoning (it's my own recipe), put it on a rack in a roasting pan and bake at 350F for about 2-3 hours until tender. Oh, and put some water in the bottom of the pan, keeps it moist.
it will probably depend on the sauce you are using

I understand it is wise to precook the ribs before putting them on the grill

try www.melindalee.com she has good tips on bbq
I always put the ribs in a steamer before grilling. Talk about tender!!
