You know like the ones you get in the really good cafes. ThanksI'm looking for a best ever savoury muffin recipe please?
Onion-Cheese Muffins





2 cups all-purpose flour


1 cup french fried onions, crumbled


1 cup milk


3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese


2 large eggs, beaten


3 tablespoons vegetable oil


1 tablespoon baking powder


1 teaspoon onion salt





1. Preheat oven to 350掳F. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin, or line with baking cups.


2. In a large bowl, combine flour, french fried onions, milk, cheddar cheese, beaten eggs, oil, baking powder and onion salt. Mix until just blended, batter should be somewhat lumpy.


3. Fill each muffin 2/3 full of batter.


4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.





Makes 12 large muffins or 24 mini-muffins.

Parmesan Herb Muffins





2 cups all-purpose flour


1 tablespoon granulated sugar


1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon sage


1/2 cup chopped parsley


1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese


1 1/4 cups buttermilk


1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted


1 large egg





1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, sage, chopped parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese; blending well. Add buttermilk, melted butter, and egg; stir just until moistened. Fill greased muffin tin two-thirds full.


2. Bake in 400*F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the center is set. Remove from oven. Let completely cool on wire rack.

2 medium eggs.


3 cups of flour.


1 cup of milk.


1 cup of sugar.


5 tablespoons of butter.


5 tablespoons of shortening.


3 teaspoons of baking powder.


1 teaspoon of salt.


1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg.





Topping:


1 cup of melted butter.


1 cup of sugar blended with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.


Instructions for Cinnamon Muffins:





Grease 12 three-inch muffin pan cups.





Cream together the butter, the shortening and the sugar. Beat in the eggs, salt, nutmeg and baking powder. Stir in the flour and milk alternately until mixture is just combined.





Fill muffin cups to the top.





Bake at 350F oven for about twenty minutes.





Allow to cool for a few minutes.





With each muffin, dip in the melted butter.





Roll each muffin in the cinnamon sugar blend.

Ingredients


3/4 c Butter or margarine


2 ea Eggs; large


1 ts Vanilla extract


1/2 ts Cinnamon


2 1/4 c Flour; unbleached


1 tb Orange rind; grated


1/2 c Sugar


1 tb Rum


3 tb Milk


2 ts Baking powder


1/4 c Almonds; ground


1/4 c Raisins; if desired


Instructions





1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, rum, vanilla, and milk. Mix cinnamon, baking powder, and flour. Add flour mixture to butter mixture. Gently mix in almonds, orange rind, and raisins. Pour batter into greased muffin tins, filling half full. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 25 to 30 minutes, or until browned. Makes 18 muffins.
