I use celery or celery seed with mayo and tuna
yuk to tuna salad!
If you want a good tasting and HEALTHY tuna salad, here's the secret:

1. Start with good quality tuna. An italian import in olive oil is the best I have found locally.

2. Skip the mayo. Yes, completely. Even the ';diet'; mayo is loaded with sodium, and you're already getting enough of that from the tuna. You avoid chemicals and other preservatives this way too.

3. Mix into your tuna: finely chopped celery, zucchini and/or red or yellow bell pepper, a couple of spoons full of capers, a little minced shallot, a little minced garlic if you like garlic. You can also add some kalamata olives.

4. Toss the whole mixture with fresh ground pepper, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and a little more extra virgin olive oil if the mixture seems dry.

Voila! Enjoy.
The greatest Tuna Salad recipe:

Two cans of Drained Tuna

Three spoons of light mayo

One can of drained mushrooms

One can of drained corn

Half cup of sliced celery

Juice of a lemon

As much salt, olive oil and pepper as you want.
Canned tuna, celery stalk, onion, mayo, black pepper: drained, sliced, diced, fork lifted, sprinkled and all mashed together and sandwiched.
a little miracle whip, garlic powder, and a touch of sweet pickle relish
heat 3 tlbs. lemon juice in small saucepan - add two tlbs. raisins -(I used Craisins last time) - just long enough to warm them up - take off heat - and 1 can solid white tuna and stir gently -(not to flake or mash too much. - This is awesome on a bed of lettuce - few rounds of onion salt and pepper. - tiny carb, tiny calorie, tiny sugar - NO FAT. - You can go all out and have a slice of tomato - maybe a hard boiled egg on the side for garnish. (this will put slightly more calories and fat to the dish) - Well worth trying. - If you don't enjoy, you're out about . 95 cents - and you can go with the traditional half a jar of mayo - and day old bread !! - Hope you like .
one can of drained tuna, 1T of lemon juice, 2T of low fat Mayo, 2T of chopped pickle or pickle relish mix well and it's realy good on warm torillas.
Whichever recipe you use add a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar to it, yum!
